About

I’m a third-year student at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where I will hopefully, eventually graduate with a major in exercise science and a minor in marketing. I know, they’re totally unrelated, but I’ve never been an either-or type of person.

I’m the VP of Communications for the Iowa Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi. #PPL&M

Those who know (and love) me call me a “Walking Radio” because I love to sing, especially in church or, on campus, we call it Light Company. Catch me singing my little heart out in the pews or on the stage every Thursday night at 8:00.

During the summer between my junior and senior years of high school, I job shadowed with a physical therapist at the hospital in Creston, Iowa. Things got crazy and I’m extremely indecisive, but recently, I rediscovered my love for all things rehab. I don’t know exactly where my path leads after college, but, in a perfect world, I would first want to be a wife and mom, just like my mom modeled for me. But, since Simpson doesn’t offer a major in “Being A Mom,” I had to improvise. My backup plan is now to go into the nutrition field, or occupational therapy to specialize in pediatrics.

I love to be on my farm while on top of my horse, but since Simpson hasn’t invested in horse stables, I have to leave her at home. Ask me about her if you want me to talk your ear off 😉

Vanilla Diet Coke and peanut butter M&Ms are the way to this girl’s heart. But, I do enjoy the occasional salad bar and strawberry banana smoothie.

For the past 7 years, I have cheered every football game I’ve been to… Well, almost. I currently cheer for the Simpson Storm and LOVE what I do to hype up the crowd and represent my school.

I love to write, and that’s why I made this blog. I wanted to get my opinions and ideas out there while highlighting some of the sweet people who make my world spin. I’m open to any suggestions as to who I should highlight next!

Be kind. Work hard. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
